Each week after the first will increase the time and intensity of the workout.  Not only that, the nutrition changes with it!  The change in intensity and the duration of the workout calls for changing of nutrition.  This is what will help you get leaner, faster, and stronger.

The workouts start at 25 minutes at week one.  Week two the workouts are increased to 35 minutes, and the third and final week increases to 45 minutes.

Injured, what now?

I've got good news and I've got bad news today.  It is Week 3 Day 2 of my P90X3 journey, and I'm happy to say, I got it done!  I've done this many times, but it still can be tough.  The more I do it, the harder I push, and the more I can do.  Anyway,  that's the good news. :)

Stay Focused Quote

The bad news is that I seem to have tweaked my back or lower left hip while doing some plyo lunges(jump lunges).  It was towards the end of the work out, and once I felt it I had to revert to doing some modifications for every exercise after.  I know you're probably thinking I must have had bad form with caused this injury.  That's possible, but I really do pride my self on concentrating on good form.

So what now?  Well, my plan is to rest it out.  This has happened to me in the past, and it will take a few days to go away.   Although I cannot workout, I will keep my mind right and stay focused.  What I mean is that I will not thing, this is the end of my fitness journey.  I will not think, "I can eat junk, because what's the use".  I will be thinking about what I will be doing once I have recovered.  I will think that this is a great time to rest and recover since, I am usually go, go, go, all the time.  I will keep in mind that I will be back at it embracing the suck in no time.  I have a race this weekend, and I am hoping that I am recovered by then.  I leave it up to God.  All I can do is wait and see.

Anyway, that's a little update on my fitness journey.  I am still smiling, not letting it get me down.  For those of you injured right now.  Keep your head up.  It will get better.  Keep your focus on the goal.  You can reach it, if you believe you can.

Limited Equipment? No Problem! Body Beast Chest & Tris

I'm in Texas for a work this week.  I noticed there were no dumbbells and no handles to do chest workouts on the machine right when I got into the gym.  Check out what I was able to do by making no excuses and using what was available to me.

It doesn't matter where you are, or what you have.  You can get a good workout in.  Beast Up!

The New Garmin Fenix 3 Sapphire

I recieved the Garmin Fenix 3 in the mail today.  I am going to test it out this week as much as possible so that I can do a review on it.  It will mostly be on the features I myself will use it for, which is running, trail biking, and everyday activities.  I will also add other things I'm interested in like notifications, widgets, pc connection, etc.

This will be be my first review posted on Youtube, and hopefully not my last.  So, if you like working out, fitness gadgets, running shoes, etc., make sure to stay tuned.  My goal is to share my experiences, tips, and opinions about things I use for fitness, and hopefully others will find this information helpful.

Last Week Of My P90X2/ Asylum V2 Hybrid Workout Schedule

This is my workout today, but the video was taken 2 years ago.  I tell you what. This workout does not get any easier.  You just keep getting better.  A lot of the exercises in this workout takes some time to get used to because of the stability ball.  If you work through it and keep doing your workouts.  You will definitely improve.

If you have done this workout before, what are your thoughts?  Did it take you a while to get used to the stability ball?  Comment below.

Upper Elite Burnout! Asylum V2 Workout

Today I did Upper Elite from the Asylum Volume 2 workout program.  This one is about an hour long and it sure is challenging.  If you've done any of Shaun T's weight training workouts you know that it is always fast pace.  He mixes in a little cardio and agility in between strength exercises.

Anyway, this video shows me doing the BURNOUT portion of the workout which comes at the end.  I cut it up a bit because it's a bit long, but you can tell that I was struggling.  I take quick breaks when I have to and then get back in it as soon as possible.

If you have questions about this workout feel free to ask.  If you've done this workout, what do you think about it?

Sticking To My Workout Schedule: Asylum Volume 2/ P90X2 Hybrid

Yesterday I thought I had a stretch workout on my schedule.  That's exactly what I wanted to do is stretch after the tough workout week.   I looked again a few hours before bed and realized I had this workout to do instead!

Asylum's X Trainer is nowhere near a stretch workout.  It is a full body workout with that seems to break me down just about every time I push play to do this workout.  The video shows short clips of most of the exercises done in this workout.  I do admit, I am glad I did this workout instead of the stretch.  I earned my Sunday rest day for sure!
