CIZE Challenge Group Details

Cize Workout
Cize Challenge Test Groups Forming Now!

By now, most of you have heard about Shaun T's NEW dance workout called CIZE. It's called the "End to ExerCIZE" because it's not about doing push ups and getting all crazy extreme, CIZE is about having fun while getting in shape. Shaun T says that we were all born to dance, and I pretty much believe that because since all of us were only babies (back in the days lol), whenever there was any kind of music playing, there was always dancing, and as a toddler, it was natural to just start moving with the beat.

But as we got older, most of us lost our rhythm, at least I know that I did =) But that has all changed now! Shaun T's CIZE workout is simple and can help anyone get their rhythm back and start getting in shape the fun and easy way.

Check out CIZE!

Now let me make this clear to you,  I am no dance enthusiast, but I have tried the workout, and I had a blast! It's a little addicting! Oh, and don't worry about anyone watching you because you can do the CIZE dance workout in the comfort of your own home, but don't be surprised if your dog laughs at you =) It's especially fun when it is done with a group like a local Fit Club, LIVE Class, or an Online Challenge Group. Doing CIZE at a Fit Club or LIVE class is awesome and will give you a taste of what the program is all about, but if you are interested in getting the FULL BENEFITS of CIZE, then the best way is to participate in a CIZE test group, or what we Coaches call it, a CIZE Online Challenge Group. Here are the details:

Monthly Running Challenge with Nike Plus

I started a monthly running Challenge last May 2015.  I started these challenges to get myself and others get out and run.  As an avid Obstacle Course Racer, running is a very important part of my training.  I found myself not getting enough running miles every week, so I decided to start a running challenge.  Luckily, I found that the Nike Plus app allows you to create challenges, making it easy to keep track of all challengers mileage.

Nike Plus Running Challenge

It's pretty simple to set up.  First you'll need to download the app and create an account.  It will be helpful to add friends in the app as well.  They will be potential challengers.  In the menu, select "Challenges" and then "Start A New Challenge".  You will then create a name for your challenge, the distance you would like to achieve during the challenge, the duration of the challenge, and the challengers.  Once you've done that, hit "Send Invite".  Make sure all your challengers are added at that time.  The app does not allow you to add additional challengers once it has been created.  Your only option will be to recreate the challenge.

Nike Plus App

As I said earlier, the app keeps track of every challengers mileage.  It will show you where you stand against other challengers including details on the total distance each person has run so far during the challenge.  It will also tell you who has run the preselected mileage for the challenge, taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.  Although, it's great to see who has completed first, second, and third, I like to make sure everyone knows it is not about who gets there first.  My challenges are about helping people complete the challenge, and just doing more than they would normally do.

If you would like to join my next challenge, friend me on Nike Plus.  Just look up Fermin Banawa.  Contact me and friend me on Facebook.  I welcome anyone who is wanting to get out there an run more.  For those of you who are serious runners, see how you stack up against other serious runners.

Limited Equipment? No Problem! Body Beast Chest & Tris

I'm in Texas for a work this week.  I noticed there were no dumbbells and no handles to do chest workouts on the machine right when I got into the gym.  Check out what I was able to do by making no excuses and using what was available to me.

It doesn't matter where you are, or what you have.  You can get a good workout in.  Beast Up!

Transformations Are Not Always About Losing Weight

Here's a great example of a transformation where it's not about losing weight, but more about gaining strength and confidence.  I was able to witness this transformation from the beginning, and I am very proud of my wife Jasmine for all that she has accomplished.  She worked very hard and stayed consistent even though people around her wondered why she was even working out.  She heard comments about how she should not be working out because of how small she was and that she should be eating more.  These things she heard were very hurtful.

Well, come to find out she had high cholesterol and had to take medication to control it.  Around that time she decided to eat healthier and exercise.  With the help of Shakeology, the 60 Day Insanity workout program, and following a healthy meal plan she was able to get rid of her high cholesterol and is no longer on medication to control it.

Check out the video to see Jasmine's transformation!

Upper Elite Burnout! Asylum V2 Workout

Today I did Upper Elite from the Asylum Volume 2 workout program.  This one is about an hour long and it sure is challenging.  If you've done any of Shaun T's weight training workouts you know that it is always fast pace.  He mixes in a little cardio and agility in between strength exercises.

Anyway, this video shows me doing the BURNOUT portion of the workout which comes at the end.  I cut it up a bit because it's a bit long, but you can tell that I was struggling.  I take quick breaks when I have to and then get back in it as soon as possible.

If you have questions about this workout feel free to ask.  If you've done this workout, what do you think about it?
